The South East Europe Innovation Summit 2019 is a Belgrade’s invite-only event that brings together brilliant minds interested in innovation and the smart living & technology revolution to discuss and explore the latest trends in the world of change.


Our aim is to present both regional and international talent, innovative ideas, and cutting-edge technology solutions that can revolutionize and improve our lives.

Michael Mirko Tadic

Founding Partner at Bridgeway Europe Startup Accelerator


Mirko is an entrepreneur and angel investor who founded and runs the business accelerator Bridgeway. Prior to diving into the innovation startup world, he founded the New Materials Research Group pivotal for new methods, development and realization of research project portfolio in the field of Material Science and entrepreneur initiatives at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Physics.


His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander

Founder of HRH Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education and Culture


For 16 years, HRH Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Education and Culture has been working to improve education in Serbia, as well as to provide scholarships and employment opportunities to young people. Furthermore, one of HRH Crown Price Alexander Foundation’s goals is to strengthen entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial opportunities in Serbia.

Some of the very first startup weekends were organized at the Royal Palace in Belgrade, thus providing over 200 entrepreneurs with mentorship, networking, and financial support. His Royal Highness Alexander was the host of the Seedcamp event, where young entrepreneurs represented their ideas and projects to the most successful European seed fund accelerator, Seedcamp. Crown Prince also organized many other events that supported the development of entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems.

Crown Prince Alexander founded Kraljevski Savet za preduzetništvo (The Royal Council for Entrepreneurship), an initiative that brings together the most important organizations that support entrepreneurship in Serbia, with one of the Foundation’s primary goals being to support entrepreneurs. Crown Prince Alexander is a great IT enthusiast, and he is very well informed about both domestic and global achievements in the fields of innovation.


Jenny Sedov

Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Israel Belgrade


Jenny’s open-minded and curious personality led her from legal internships in Israel, to more exciting positions at international companies, where she worked as an account manager and assistant to CEO. However, her passion for politics, law, and international cooperation motivated her to pursue her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. After a series of successful assignments, Ms. Jenny became the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Israel in Belgrade, where she represents and promotes Israel at different levels, works closely with other departments, and manages operational and administrative sections. Her excellent communication and organizational skills allow her to build and maintain strong relationships between Serbia and Israel, thus contributing to international cooperation and cultural exchange.


William Carbone

IBM Watscon Cognitive Solutions Lead at IBM Bratislava


Tech enthusiast with a strong passion for Smart City ecosystems, William is an Italian tech strategist and maker, working at IBM. He believes that technology and citizens,can empower cities to unprecedented levels, by making urban communities, hence the world, a better place. William is actively contributing to several Smart City initiatives and conferences around Europe. As the CityOs focal for Slovakia and a member of “The Things Network”, among other IoT communities, he, together with his community, contributes to creating a strong vision for the future of urban innovation, sustainable development, and the significant impact of the human factor on the smart city concept.

William studied Aerospace Engineering at La Sapienza University of Rome and Electronics Engineering at UAS Technikum Wien from which he also received MSc in Information Systems Management.


Matt Kuppers

CEO Startup Manufactory, London


Matt is an independent consultant with a focus on start-up consulting, capacity building, and economic development. Since joining the start-up industry in 2008, Matt worked in venture capital, co-founded businesses, provided start-up consulting, spoke publicly, and advised governmental organizations.

Startup Manufactory has grown a portfolio of 50+ clients across the public and the private sector. Matt is also working as an Independent Expert at the European Commission, where he evaluates start-up ecosystem development projects. In the past, he provided consulting services at the London School of Economics on commercializing the outcomes of LSE's science and research through creating spin-out companies.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Matt undertook research in game theory at LSE as a PhD student after having spent three years studying Social Sciences. He obtained his Entrepreneurship Certification at the University of Oxford, and was trained at the Military Academy.


Nenad Moslavac

Co-founder and Director, Impact Hub Belgrade


Nenad is one of the co-founders of Impact Hub Belgrade, where for-profit enterprises work and grow, solving essential problems. Impact Hub Belgrade is part of the fastest growing global movement where the future of business is prototyped in 100+ locations in 60+ countries in the world.

As a committed impact entrepreneur with an experience in economic growth and regional development, Nenad is experienced in project and team design, organization’s strategic planning, and evaluation services to bilateral and multilateral organizations.

Prior to founding Impact Hub, Nenad built his career as a development professional managing activities of USAID and UNDP, in parallel to starting his own micro-business. His specialism is in workforce development, business incubation, access to finance, and business growth.

Nenad is an experienced manager, leading teams from 3 up to 20 and managing budgets from $70,000 to $24 million. Holds a MSc Degree in Sustainable Development from University of London, and a BA from Arizona State University.

Nenad is a citizen of the world and completely fluent in the cultures across the continents, committed to change with local and global impact.


Petar Kosovac

Leadership Development Expert at Telenor Group


Petar is a passionate people developer with long business and leadership background in the Telecom industry. He designs and executes leadership programs for Telenor Business Units around the globe, and he also coaches individual clients. He is constantly developing his expertise through education and practice covering ICF Coaching, NLP, PCM (Process Communication Model), while being up to date with industry-needed methodologies, such as design thinking and innovator's method.

He loves challenges, and getting out of his comfort zone. He enjoys hiking, skydiving, learning a new dance, and even exploring new ways of doing things at the office. He believes that, in order to grow, you need to get out of your comfort zone. Supporting and inspiring people to do so, and have a better version of who they are already is something that drives him and motivates him every day to become a better version of himself as well.

 

Sergio Tunno

Founder and CEO, Fooz!


Sergio Tunno is the founder and CEO of Fooz! - Retail and Supply Chain as a Service. As he says, his goal is to bring technology closer to the roots.

Before founding Fooz!, Sergio spent two years in Berlin, where he worked as a startup consultant, and head of customer success and business development at several SaaS and e-commerce companies.

Earlier, he spent almost 7 years at IBM, where he had the opportunity to manage Customer Satisfaction and Business Operations teams. This experience has enabled him to gain and hone valuable customer satisfaction and leadership skills, as he learned from the best in these fields. Sergio is particularly known for his curious, emotionally intelligent personality, and abilities to adapt to any situation.

His Fooz! idea was born from his personal experience. When he was a child, Sergio lived in a rural area in Southern Italy, with small farmers, and fresh produces every day. His very first seasonal job as a student helped him experience the life of a farmer. When his passion for excellent customer service and healthy, productive workplace environment, and desire to provide everyone with access to good-quality food at a fair price are put together, it is impossible to get anything else, but a successful business.

Naturally, this Diplomacy graduate loves food, travel, and different cultures.


Željko Petrović

Željko is an experienced manager with focus on FMCG and retail. Worked with the leading companies in the Southeastern Europe region, through various fields, including category management, marketing, negotiation, and business planning.

Currently, he is working as a senior manager NFR sourcing at Ahold Delhaize.


Marjanović Uglješa

Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, University of Novi Sad


Uglješa received his PhD degrees from the University of Novi Sad. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering & Management of the University of Novi Sad. His research interest focuses on e-business (e.g. e-government, e-learning, social networks), factors and processes influencing individual technology adoption and use, and innovation (organizational & technology). His preferred research methods are field surveys, interviews and observations, as well as multivariate statistical analysis and structural equation modeling. He is a founder of the company that provides services for the transportation industry in the U.S.


Amir Raz

Head of the Hi-Tech group at Shenhav & Co. Advocates and Notary in Tel Aviv


Amir's practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions, Hi Tech, Startups, Venture Capital, Corporate Finance, Private Equity and Fund Formation. 

Prior to Hi-Tech group at Shenhav & Co, Amir spent several years as a Corporate/M&A attorney in the New York office of Sidley Austin LLP, and in Israel, at a leading law firm. His vast experience keeps him ranked, year after year, as a top tier leading practitioner in the practice areas of Corporate/M&A, Hi-tech and venture capital (Chambers Global, Legal 500 and many more). 

Amir's clients come from mature hi-tech companies, early-stage startups, as well as venture capital funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, and individual (angel) investors.

Among others, Amir provides day-to-day counseling to startups with a particular focus on SaaS, mobility/advanced transportation technology, cloud computing, cyber security, big data, IoT, semiconductor, life sciences and cleantech, playing a key role in advising clients in all stages of their development, from a seed start-up through public companies.

Amir gained substantial experience working on the establishment and representation of dozens of venture capital funds, private equity funds and hedge funds, in addition to having an active practice representing foreign corporations and high net worth individuals in their investments and other commercial activities.

Amir's education includes a LL.B. from Tel Aviv University (1999, Cum Laude), and an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center (2003, Securities and Financial Regulation, Dean’s Certificate, Distinction).

 

David Solomon

Founder Thinking Cities & wearebarcelona.org


After a career in international conflict resolution diplomacy, David has spent the past decade working with cities in South America, Asia, Europe & the Middle East on city internationalization, city diplomacy, and international PPP fund-raising and management for smart city technology startups between Korea and Israel. David founded Thinking Cities, launched WeAreBarcelona, and other citizen-centric initiatives globally. He works and lives between Barcelona and Belgrade.


Jasmina Ristić

Program Director at Bridgeway Europe Startup Accelerator


Prior to joining Bridgeway, Jasmina was Head of Marketing Department for FMCG, leading SEE food companies. With more than 10 years of experience in management and marketing, she led teams of product developers, media strategists, and promotional and sale experts for numerous food companies, and platforms across the Southeast European region.

As a Program Director at Bridgeway, Jasmina is in charge of project planning, monitoring and execution. She optimizes performance, tracks progress, and works with other team members to ensure the excellence flow of information. She is also a mentor, with a keen eye for quality.


Jovana Drašković

Marketing Director at Bojović & Partners


With more than 10 years of professional experience in marketing, Jovana worked in managerial positions within the marketing sector at various FMCG companies, such as Podravka, Paracinka, and Frikom, before joining Bojovic & Partners.

Jovana holds a Master of Economics. She made statements for the most reputable legal magazine for the central eastern Europe – CEE Legal Matters, one of them was about how law firm rankings could become more useful and effective.


Danijela Pejić

Economic Officer, The Embassy of Israel, Belgrade


Before getting a job at the Embassy of Israel in Belgrade, Danijela occupied several positions in sales and marketing, and import/export. This experience has allowed her to gain a better insight into international business, and become an even better cross-border communicator.

Experienced in event management, organization, and negotiation, Danijela works today at the Embassy of Israel to build strong trade and business relationships between Serbia and Israel, and establish friendly cooperation between the two nations. Her department facilitates access to investment opportunities across various industries, including food, finances, technology, and bio science.

Darko Todorović

Founder and Program Director at Partner Team SEE


Darko Todorovic is the founder and program director of Partner Team SEE, business trainer and consultant with over 16 years of experience, and more than 1,600 days of training at various companies and in different industries.

As a certified partner and consultant in the SEE region, Darko applies his expertise in micro expressions and body language to help businesses understand these concepts and use the techniques in business. He holds a Swiss Federal PET diploma (SVEB 2) as proof of quality in adult education provision. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade.


Branko Greganović

Chief Executive Officer at NLB Banka Belgrade


Branko Greganović is an executive with rich international experience in public and private sector, corporate finance and central bank restructuring, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia and Société Générale Bank. Later on he led a team of M&A advisors in the process of establishment of Droga Kolinska Group, and after that, in his capacity as the CFO of the Group, he also led the restructuring process of Droga Kolinska. Before joining the NLB Banka Belgrade, Branko Greganović managed projects of collection of non-performing loans in Croatia at Hypo Alpe Adria Bank from the bank's HQ in Klagenfurt, Austria..


Isabel Airas

National Lead Climate-KIC Serbia; Advisor on Circular Economy, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia


Isabel took over the Climate-KIC project within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in August 2016, and has been implementing Climate-KIC’s activities in Serbia since then. She is very passionate about this project and her dream is to develop a cleantech/green business community in Serbia and connect all the stakeholders that are currently active in this field.

Isabel has a M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management and her working background is in international development work with organizations such as GIZ, GFA Consulting, ERM Consulting and others.
